Many women are surprised to learn that pelvic floor health is intimately connected with the breath. As one of the foundations of the Yoga for Pelvic Floor Health program, the Three Part Breath exercise helps you develop breath awareness, breathe in a way that supports your pelvic floor, and ease overall tension.

To work with this practice, find a comfortable position lying down on your back, perhaps on your sofa, bed, or on a yoga mat on the floor. Utilize any supports, like a pillow behind your head, perhaps a pillow under the backs of your knees, and a blanket if you’re feeling chilly. If possible, do this in a quiet location where you are least likely to be interrupted.

Please work with the Three Part Breath several times per week or as often as daily.
